MDCAT full form: Medical and Dental College Admission Test. It is conducted by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), with UHS Lahore as the test-conducting authority for Punjab. MDCAT is mandatory for admission to all public and private medical and dental colleges in Pakistan and covers Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English and Logical Reasoning.
The MDCAT 2026 registration fee is Rs. 9,000 during the regular registration window. Late registration is accepted with a fee of Rs. 13,000. The fee is paid online via the PMDC MDCAT registration portal using debit/credit card, JazzCash, EasyPaisa or bank challan. The fee is non-refundable once submitted. The MDCAT 2026 syllabus includes Biology (81 MCQs), Chemistry (45 MCQs), Physics (36 MCQs), English (9 MCQs), and Logical Reasoning (9 MCQs), totaling 180 MCQs in 3 hours. The syllabus is based on FSc pre-medical textbooks from Punjab Textbook Board and federal boards.
