MDCAT Balochistan 2026: BUMHS paper guide
In Balochistan the MDCAT is conducted by Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences (BUMHS), Quetta. Here are BUMHS past papers and practice MCQs in the BUMHS style.
Same syllabus, BUMHS paper
Every province sits the same PMDC paper format: 180 MCQs in 3 hours, no negative marking — Biology 81 (45%), Chemistry 45 (25%), Physics 36 (20%), English 9 (5%), Logical Reasoning 9 (5%). The syllabus is the single PMDC uniform curriculum; there is no separate Balochistan syllabus. What differs is who writes the questions, and so the style, wording and emphasis of the paper.
How the BUMHS paper reads
We measured the real BUMHS papers on this site against the national PMC papers:
| Paper set | Typical question length | NOT / EXCEPT questions | Physics + Chemistry numericals |
|---|---|---|---|
| BUMHS (3 papers, 594 MCQs) | 10.0 words | 9% | 18% |
| National PMC/PMDC papers (11 papers) | 11 words | 6% | 25% |
BUMHS papers use more NOT / EXCEPT and statement-type questions than any other board we measured, and stems are short. Read every option before answering. Numericals are less common than in Punjab or KP.
Practise in the BUMHS pattern
