Same syllabus, UHS paper

Every province sits the same PMDC paper format: 180 MCQs in 3 hours, no negative marking — Biology 81 (45%), Chemistry 45 (25%), Physics 36 (20%), English 9 (5%), Logical Reasoning 9 (5%). The syllabus is the single PMDC uniform curriculum; there is no separate Punjab syllabus. What differs is who writes the questions, and so the style, wording and emphasis of the paper.

How the UHS paper reads

We measured the real UHS papers on this site against the national PMC papers:

Paper setTypical question lengthNOT / EXCEPT questionsPhysics + Chemistry numericals
UHS (12 papers, 2542 MCQs)13.0 words2%40%
National PMC/PMDC papers (11 papers)11 words6%25%

The differences are small, so do not over-fit. But the numbers point one way: UHS almost never asks NOT/EXCEPT questions, keeps questions direct and factual, and leans heavily on numericals in Physics and Chemistry. Line-by-line knowledge of the Punjab textbook, and fast, accurate calculation, pay off most.

UHS MDCAT 2026

UHS held MDCAT 2026 on 20 September 2026. Question booklets were collected at the centre and UHS has not released the paper; only the official answer keys for Paper IDs A–D are public, and we show them on the past papers page.

Practise in the UHS pattern

When you pick this province (top-right button), our practice tests put up to 40% 300 original MCQs written in the UHS style first, then fill the rest from the 26,000+ question bank. Every MCQ is checked against the PMDC curriculum unit and subtopic, and has an explanation.

Merit and aggregate
